The Serv-A-Pure 73127S sediment, iron reduction and phosphate filter housing system is designed to be used as a whole house filtration system specifically for iron reduction. Also, the iron filter is followed up with a poly-phosphate filter that help with water hardness in certain situations. The phosphate filter will not remove hardness from the water, but instead will coat the hardness minerals so they "slip" through your system and will not cause hardness buildup. These phosphate filters have proved effective in situations where the hardness level is under 15 grains per gallon. You're investing in cleaner, better-tasting water throughout your entire home. This comprehensive system works in three powerful stages to ensure every faucet, shower, and appliance receives sediment and iron free water.
Stage 1: Heavy-Duty Sediment Removal - The first filter captures dirt, sand, rust, and other particles that cloud your water and can damage your appliances. Your washing machine, dishwasher, and water heater will thank you with longer life and better performance.
Stage 2: Iron Removal Filter - The second filter is a mixture of coconut carbon and the KDF-85 media. The KDF-85 media will oxidize out iron and hydrogen sulfide up to levels of 3 PPM.
Stage 3: Phosphate Filter - The phosphate filter will not remove hardness from the water, but instead will coat the hardness minerals so they "slip" through your system and will not cause hardness buildup. These phosphate filters have proved effective in situations where the hardness level is under 15 grains per gallon.
This isn't just about better-tasting water – it's about protecting your investment in your home's plumbing and appliances while giving your family the peace of mind that comes with pure, clean water. With easy-to-monitor pressure gauges and simple filter replacements, maintaining great water has never been more convenient.
Standard Filter:- SW-4 plastic housing wrench included
- Flow Rate: 5 GPM (You can push it higher, but the pressure drop would keep increasing and the filter becomes less effective at a higher flow rate
- Max Pressure: 90 psi
• Pressure Gauge #1 - Located at the inlet of the 1st filter housing. Measures incoming pressure to system.
• Pressure Gauge #2 - Located at the outlet of the 1st housing. Measures pressure leaving the system.
Pressure Gauge Locations
- Pressure Gauge #1 - Located at the inlet of the first filter housing. Measures incoming pressure to system.
- Pressure Gauge #2 - Located at the inlet of the 2nd housing. Measures pressure drop across the 1st filter.
- Pressure Gauge #3 - Located at the inlet of the 3rd housing. Measures pressure drop across the 2nd filter.
- Pressure Gauge #4 - Located at the outlet of the 3rd housing. Measures pressure drop across the 3rd filter.
