Serv-A-Pure 71600S, Whole House Chloramine Reduction Filter Cartridge System
The Serv-A-Pure 71600S chloramine reduction filter housing system is designed to be used as a whole house filtration system specifically for chloramine reduction. Chloramine is a long lasting chemical disinfectant created by combining ammonia and chlorine, widely used in public water systems to kill harmful bacteria and viruses and prevent waterborne diseases. It provides a more stable disinfectant residual in water pipes than free chlorine, which dissipates quickly, but it can cause irritation for some people with sensitive eyes, skin, or respiratory issues. You're investing in cleaner, better-tasting water throughout your entire home.
Filter Included with the system - Pentek 155967, CRFC20-BB Chloramine Reduction Filter
Alternate part number: BBFS-2CH
Standard System Features

- SW-4 plastic housing wrench included
- Mounting Bracket comes pre-installed
- Inlet/Outlet pressure gauges come installed
- Inlet/Outlet lead free brass ball valves included
- Genuine Pentek 20" Big Blue Filter housings are used
- The flow direction can be user selected. When standing out front of the system, does your water flow from right to left or left to right? Which ever it is, this is the selection you choose when adding the system to your shopping cart. If you are not sure which direction you need, you can change the flow direction when you receive the unit, it will just require you taking off the bracket and pressure gauges, then flipping the flow direction and reinstalling the bracket and gauges.

Pressure Gauges
Why include pressure gauges on my system?
- Including pressure gauges on the inlet and outlet of this system allows you to monitor the pressure drop across the filter and is a good tool for trouble shooting any issues you may have with the installed filter. The higher the pressure drop across the two gauges, lets you know the filter is starting to be plugged up and once the pressure drop gets too high, lets you know it is time to change your filter.
• Pressure Gauge #1 - Located at the inlet of the 1st filter housing. Measures incoming pressure to system.
• Pressure Gauge #2 - Located at the outlet of the 1st housing. Measures pressure leaving the system.
To figure out the pressure drop across the system, take the pressure shown on Pressure Gauge #2 and subtract the pressure shown on Pressure Gauge #1. This difference is the pressure drop you are seeing across your filter system. For best results, take these readings with water flowing through the system.
